Design Competition for the Entrance Comes to a Close

The Design competition for the gateway entrance or trailhead to the Nature Center has come to a close. Several very exciting plans were submitted by area architects and landscape architects. The winning submission was created by Carolyn Perna. She is a landscapse designer with TBG Partners in Dallas and is a neighborhood mom. Many ideas from the another entry submitted by Sally Johnson with Sally Johnson architects are also being incorporated into the entrance as well as in other parts of the nature center. The Design committee and judges are very excited about the designs.

Additionally, $8000 has already been committed toward its construction by a local Dallas foundation.
